PitchDesk

PitchDesk and CampManager

CampManager is park management software for larger UK parks. PitchDesk is a booking system for smaller sites at a fixed £7.99 a month. If you run a park with a shop, a bar and seasonal vans, this page will probably send you to them.

We do not have a published price for CampManager

CampManager does not put a price list on its website that we could check, so there is no number for it in our comparison table and we are not going to guess at one. Ask them for a quote, then put it next to £95.88 a year and decide whether the difference buys you something you will use.

They are not the same kind of product

A park management system runs the whole business. Bookings are one part of it, alongside the things a booking form never touches: the till in the shop, the electric meter readings, the seasonal pitch accounts, the owner statements, the arrivals board, the housekeeping list and the reporting a park with staff needs.

PitchDesk does bookings. Availability, prices, deposits, balances, terms, confirmation emails and a calendar you can read. That is the whole product and it is why it costs £7.99 a month.

If you have 120 touring pitches, 40 seasonal vans, a bar and three people on reception, the booking form is the least of your problems and you should buy the bigger system. Nobody is well served by us pretending otherwise.

Questions worth asking before you sign anything

These apply to every supplier in this market, us included. Ask us the same ones.

  • What is the setup fee, and what does it cover?
  • Is there a minimum term, and what happens in month 13?
  • Does the price go up as I add pitches?
  • Whose merchant account takes the card payment, mine or yours?
  • If I leave, do I get my bookings and my guest list out, and in what format?
  • Is there a per booking fee or a percentage anywhere in the contract?
  • What are the support hours, and is support included?

Our answers: no setup fee, no minimum term, no per pitch charge, your own Stripe account, an export of every booking whenever you want it, no percentage anywhere, and email support included.
